The Austin Fermentation Festival will include featured speaker Sandor Katz along with a series of fermentation workshops with some hands-on and interactive options (covering topics such as kimchi, kombucha, sauerkraut, cultured butter, sourdough bread and more); film screening and silent auction; fermented foods and product vendors; festival-inspired lunch for purchase from local purveyors; fermented beverages and alcohol; a mini farmers' market; and live music.

This year we will be showcasing two badass bands, booze, and a complimentary BBQ buffet. This is a family-friendly (pups included) event, so bring'em out and enjoy some great tunes and hang out with your favorite neighborhood friends at your favorite neighborhood cafe! The Pecan Square Hoedown has become a Cafe Josie tradition and is a day when we can all hang out as friends and neighbors to relax and enjoy a fun afternoon with great food and entertaining musicians.

Barley Swine is partnering with some of their favorite local purveyors for a special dinner. The night will kick off with passed appetizers served alongside Kooper Family Whiskey cocktails and Hops & Grain’s Zoe. Following cocktail hour, the five-course, family-style meal will include some limited-edition pairings from Hops & Grain, including Saison and Pellets & Powder, and an additional Kooper Family cocktail. One course will be entirely devoted to a Ranger Cattle Tomahawk, dry-aged in house at Barley Swine that will be paired with Barrel-Aged ALTeration. To cap off the evening, the dessert course will be paired with 7870Blue.
