In this class we are excited to feature Cheeses from the Alpine regions in Europe, as well as Alpine Style Cheeses from the US. The definition of "seasonal" cheese, these wheels speak deeply of their terroir and offer all the lush flavors of the flora that cows feast upon. As always, the tasting will be accompanied by olives, nuts, and Easy Tiger bread. We'll also bring out a number of additional pairings like chutneys and charcuterie bites, depending on that evening's cheese selection.

In this class, we will review primal cuts of meat, as well as the smaller, retail cuts you will find at SFC Farmer’s Markets and in grocery stores. You will learn ways to prep meat for cooking, and several basic cooking methods including: searing, braising and roasting. Class will be led by professional butcher, Julia Poplawsky, founder of Central Texas Meat Collective.

We are so excited to announce another Cheese-y Bus Tour! The trip will be 6 hours long and will consist of 5 different experiences. First, we'll meet at the Cheese House; hitch a ride on a chartered bus that includes a sensory tasting, bubbles tasting, and cheese tasting; we'll visit Pure Luck Farm & Dairy for a farm tour to see the goats and the cheesemaking, as well as eat their cheese; we'll head to Jester King Brewery for artisanal sandwiches, followed by a cheese and beer pairing, and then a brewery tour; and then we'll head home to the Cheese House for a chocolate tasting to finish the day.

Mexic-Arte Museum is host to Austin’s largest and longest-running Dia de Los Muertos event and this 34th annual festival and parade features various activities for the whole family and special highlights. Make plans to spend the afternoon and early evening taking pictures with parade props that include large-scale moving sculptures and “mojigangas” or finding a special place along the parade route to view the grand procession from noon to 1 p.m. All the while, the street festival will feature artist vendors, live music, food trucks, a costume contest, an Austin Low-rider exhibition and showcase, casket artwork, plus a Dia de Los Muertos Mercado, from noon through 8 p.m..

We'll also bring out a number of additional pairings like chutneys and charcuterie bites, depending on that evening's cheese selection. Last, but certainly not least, Hops & Grain will be providing 4 pours of their handcrafted beers paired perfectly with our cheeses.
