The Best of Texas is much more than just a food and wine event. This weekend long event has been created to showcase the growing number of local vineyards, breweries, distilleries, retailers, artists, local musicians and gourmet food fares blessing the Texas Hill Country, and beyond. While the event is a private for profit festivity, it will also benefit several local charities, including the Pioneer Museum and the Texas Center for Wine and Culinary Arts. This year’s event includes everything from a Gatsby themed Best of Texas Chefs friendly competition on Friday to a Texas Tech Polo Match with Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s on Sunday.

We are starting off the day with the Garden Gallop, a 5k Run and 1 mile Fun Run through our 200 acre farm. The High Plains Jamboree and Possum Posse will be adorning our stage this year. AISD will be represented with their awesome food truck - Nacho Average Food Truck. We hope you will help us spread the word about this great event. We promise there will be no SXSW crowds, ample parking, and lots of beautiful farm to explore... the perfect event for Austinites grappling to reclaim their city.

With more room for displays, parking and entertainment, about 115 local, regional and international artists are expected to exhibit. In addition to the artists’ booths, there will be continuous live music, lots of fresh food, a vintage car show, and a beer and wine bar. Shuttles will take attendees into Wimberley Square for shopping/dining and exploring town galleries. Free admission; behaved dogs on leashes are welcome.
