The Austin Fermentation Festival will include featured speaker Sandor Katz along with a series of fermentation workshops with some hands-on and interactive options (covering topics such as kimchi, kombucha, sauerkraut, cultured butter, sourdough bread and more); film screening and silent auction; fermented foods and product vendors; festival-inspired lunch for purchase from local purveyors; fermented beverages and alcohol; a mini farmers' market; and live music.

The night will kick off with passed appetizers served alongside Kooper Family Whiskey cocktails and Hops & Grain’s Zoe. Following cocktail hour, the five-course, family-style meal will include some limited-edition pairings from Hops & Grain, including Saison and Pellets & Powder, and an additional Kooper Family cocktail. One course will be entirely devoted to a Ranger Cattle Tomahawk, dry-aged in house at Barley Swine that will be paired with Barrel-Aged ALTeration. To cap off the evening, the dessert course will be paired with 7870Blue.

We are so excited to announce another Cheese-y Bus Tour! The trip will be 6 hours long and will consist of 5 different experiences. First, we'll meet at the Cheese House; hitch a ride on a chartered bus that includes a sensory tasting, bubbles tasting, and cheese tasting; we'll visit Pure Luck Farm & Dairy for a farm tour to see the goats and the cheesemaking, as well as eat their cheese; we'll head to Jester King Brewery for artisanal sandwiches, followed by a cheese and beer pairing, and then a brewery tour; and then we'll head home to the Cheese House for a chocolate tasting to finish the day.

Mexic-Arte Museum is host to Austin’s largest and longest-running Dia de Los Muertos event and this 34th annual festival and parade features various activities for the whole family and special highlights. Make plans to spend the afternoon and early evening taking pictures with parade props that include large-scale moving sculptures and “mojigangas” or finding a special place along the parade route to view the grand procession from noon to 1 p.m. All the while, the street festival will feature artist vendors, live music, food trucks, a costume contest, an Austin Low-rider exhibition and showcase, casket artwork, plus a Dia de Los Muertos Mercado, from noon through 8 p.m..
