This 2-Day event will be the 14th Annual That Takes the Cake Sugar Art Show & Cake Competition. Our event is open to all ages. There is a competition part that ranges from children to Masters and Professionals with around 400 fabulous cakes on display. In addition there will be live competitions, class before, during and after. Kids can decorate cookies and cake and have face painting and balloon animals. We have around 65 vendors from around the world selling cake decorating supplies, too, Entry to the show is free when you compete and one parent gets a free weekend pass when a child enters. The Brunch Boat

Why eat on land when you can have brunch party son the water!?! We’ve teamed up with Capital Cruises and 365 Things Austin again to bring you The Brunch Boat! A brunch time party cruise on Town Lake (or Lady Bird Lake as it’s now known). Enjoy great music, food, and beverages aboard a fabulous boat with air conditioning, bathrooms, and a gorgeous roof deck. We'll have different themes throughout the year too for added fun! Get great pictures and views of the Austin skyline from the boat roof deck!
40th Annual CROP Hunger Walk

The CROP Hunger Walk brings together neighbors of different ages, faiths and backgrounds walking together to raise awareness and money for hunger, disaster relief, medical care and development projects around the world and in Austin. Twenty five percent (25%) of the money raised stays in Austin and funds five area nonprofits, including the Food Bank and other local hunger relief organizations. In 2017, the Food Bank’s share of the money raised was enough to provide nearly 50,000 meals for Central Texans in need.
Toast & Roast

We are thrilled to celebrate Texas wines with an exclusive tasting of Texas Monthly’s "Top Texas Wines of 2017!" At this year's Toast & Roast we will announce the Texas Wine of the Year and guests will choose their favorite wine from the list in this year's Fan Favorite contest. Join us on Sunday, February 25th at the picturesque Stonehouse Villa in Driftwood, TX to celebrate and support Texas' growing wine industry. Along with a sip and stroll tasting of the best Texas wines produced last year, we'll snack on delicious bites from local chefs.

Urban Roots Benefit

Prohibition Creamery, the local ice cream shop known for its boozy frozen treats, is hosting an event benefiting Urban Roots, a farm-based youth leadership organization located in Austin, on Feb. 27. The event will feature unique boozy milkshakes created by local bartenders and brand ambassadors and pizza from Via 313 Pizzeria. 50% of profits from the milkshake specials for that night will go directly to Urban Roots.

Long Center 10 Year Anniversary Celebration

Everyone is invited to attend the Long Center’s 10th Anniversary Celebration! This event will be our biggest fundraiser of the year, bringing together hundreds of the most influential and dynamic members of the Austin community for a lively evening of dinner, drinks, and a live performance from The Avett Brothers plus Asleep at the Wheel. Funds raised will support the Long Center’s Education and Outreach programming—impacting more than 80,000 youth annually. Our 10th Anniversary Party includes a plated dinner, the best seats in the house for The Avett Brothers, and access to our exclusive After-Party, complete with a live DJ and hosted bar!
