Joel Welch’s Alchemy Fish Tacos


For 4 Person(s)


  • 1 cups olive oil
  • 1 cups fresh-squeezed orange juice
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 1 bunch cilantro, chopped finely
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoons smoked Spanish paprika
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 3 tablespoons habanero pepper sauce
  • 2 pounds local tuna, redfish or mahi mahi, cut into fillets

Joel Welch’s Alchemy Fish Tacos Directions

  1. Combine the first 9 ingredients in a bowl or baking dish. Add the fish and marinate for at least 2 hours before cooking.
  2. Grill the fish over hot coals, bake in the oven or sauté in a large pan for a couple minutes on each side. Serve plain in warm, fresh corn or flour tortillas, or topped with a squeeze of lime juice, shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, diced onions or cilantro sprigs.
