Broccoli with Garlic Oil


For 4 Person(s)


  • 4 cups broccoli, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 2 teaspoons olive or canola oil
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons finely minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • Ice water, to chill as needed

Broccoli with Garlic Oil Directions

  1. Bring a 2-quart pot of water to a rapid boil.
  2. Add the broccoli, return to a simmer and cook for 2 minutes. Drain and let the broccoli cool in the ice water.
  3. In a skillet, heat the oil over medium heat and add the garlic. Cook for 30 seconds, taking care not to brown it. Add the broccoli and toss in the garlic oil; season with the salt.
