Serves 2–4 as an appetizer

Super easy

1 pounds raw wild shrimp, peeled or unpeeled (we prefer unpeeled because it adds flavor!)
1 shrimp boil seasoning bag (we use Zatarain's)
1/2 large lemon
Dash of salt
Ice bath

Sauce

1 cups ketchup
1 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoons ground black pepper
drops

Boiled Shrimp and Cocktail Sauce Directions

Fill a large pot with water—leaving enough room to add the shrimp.

Add the seasoning bag and salt, then squeeze the lemon into the water and toss in the juiced lemon half.

Bring to a boil and add the shrimp.

Just as the water starts to boil again, cover and remove from the heat. Let the pot sit for 5 to 10 minutes.

Do not overcook—the shrimp should be pink when done.

Drain the shrimp and place in the ice bath to stop the cooking process.

Drain again and chill for about an hour.

Serve with cocktail sauce.

For cocktail sauce: Add all ingredients to a small bowl and stir until thoroughly combined. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
