
Every year the Austin Food + Wine Festival brings fantastic culinary talent to the city to share their knowledge — and their delicious eats — with festival attendees. This year, AF+WF is taking place on April 26–28, and lots of great local talent will be in attendance. To help get you excited for the event, here are some of the Austin-based chefs that we’re eager to see at the festival!
SPECIAL ADVERTISING SPOTLIGHT

TYSON COLE
Partner and Executive Chef, Hai Hospitality
Widely known for his restaurants Uchi, Uchiko and Loro, Tyson Cole marries global ingredients with traditional Japanese flavors in his dishes. You can find Cole at the Rock Your Taco event, whipping up his take on tacos at the delicious competition.

SONYA COTE
Owner and Executive Chef, Eden East, Sinclair and Hillside Farmacy
You can catch Chef Coté — owner of true farm-to-table restaurant Eden East — at the Fire Pit portion of the festival, where she will be grilling up food and sharing her barbecue tips with attendees.

MICHAEL FOJTASEK
Owner and Executive Chef, Olamaie
A creator of delicious Southern food and unforgettable biscuits, Michael Fojtasek will cook up a course for AF+WF’s Feast Under The Stars, which happens the Thursday night before the festival.

SARAH HEARD & NATHAN LEMLEY
Chef-owners, Foreign & Domestic
Both chefs strongly support sourcing locally for their restaurant Foreign & Domestic. You can try their food at The Grand Taste, taking place during both days of the festival.

KRISTEN KISH
Chef and Partner, Arlo Grey
Kristen Kish’s cuisine inspiration comes from a French and Italian cooking background, paired with a nostalgia of dishes from her upbringing. She will be cooking up a delectable course for the Feast Under the Stars event.

STEPHANIE MCCLENNY
Owner and Principal Jam Maker, Confituras Little Kitchen
Local jam and biscuit queen Stephanie McClenny will also prepare a course for the Feast Under the Stars, and we can’t wait to see what her dish holds.

BRIAN MOSES
Executive Chef, Olive & June
A true master of Italian fare, Chef Moses will be serving up bites of his food at The Grand Taste, where you will be able to eat and greet with him and many other chefs at Auditorium Shores.

GRAE NONAS
Executive Chef, Carpenters Hall
At Carpenters Hall, Chef Nonas serves up truly Texan food, inspired by the Hill Country’s German and Czech roots. Nonas will be imparting his signature flavors in his course at the Feast Under the Stars.

DAVID NORMAN
Culinary Director and Partner, Easy Tiger Bake Shop & Beer Garden
Know as the Head Dough Puncher at Easy Tiger, David Norman will be sharing his delicious breads and baked goods with festival guests at The Grand Taste.

DANIEL OLIVELLA
Chef and Owner, Barlata Tapas Bar
You can also find Chef Olivella, creator of unforgettable tapas, paella and authentic Catalonian dishes, at The Grand Taste during the festival weekend.

ANTHONY SOBOTIK
Chef and Co-owner, Lick Honest Ice Creams
Lick Honest Ice Creams is known for their fantastic dairy (and dairy-free) frozen desserts, and none of it would be possible without Anthony Sobotik — you can enjoy his ice cream at The Grand Taste.

NICHOLAS YANES
Chef and Owner, Juniper and Uncle Nicky’s
Chef Nic Yanes wraps up the fantastic lineup for the Feast Under the Stars event. A maker of fantastic Italian fare, Yanes’ course is sure to be delizioso.
