Super easy

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoons baking powder
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoons salt
1 12-oz. local beer (We used Pearl-Snap from Austin Beerworks.)
1/4 cups butter, melted, plus extra unmelted butter for the pan

Beer Batter Bread Directions

Preheat the oven to 375°. Butter a 9-inch loaf pan and set aside.

Place the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a large mixing bowl and stir to blend. Add the beer all at once and stir just until mixed (do not overwork the batter!)

Scrape the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth out, then pour melted butter over the top.

Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the loaf comes out clean. Serve with pimiento cheese and pickled chow-chow.
