Prepared by Elif Selvili

This flavorful spread makes a nice appetizer served with crusty bread and olives. Rustic sourdough is the closest in style to traditional Turkish bread.

For 15 Person(s)

1 pounds lb. feta, drained and crumbled
3 garlic cloves, peeled
2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons Turkish red pepper (you can substitute red pepper flakes)
2 1/2 teaspoons dried mint, divided
3 tablespoons olive oil, plus extra for garnish
Assorted olives, sliced bread

Beyaz Peynir Ezmesi (Spicy Feta Cheese Spread) Directions

In a food processor, puree feta, garlic, paprika, red pepper, 2 teaspoons dried mint and olive oil until smooth.

Place in a shallow bowl, cover and chill in refrigerator for at least 20 minutes.

To serve, drizzle olive oil over spread, sprinkle with last ½ teaspoon dried mint and serve with olives and sliced bread (and with sliced fresh tomatoes when in season).
