Super easy
1 pounds dried black beans
1 small red onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
2 jalapeños, chopped
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 lime, quartered
2 bay leaves
1 tablespoons cumin
1 tablespoons medium chili powder
1 tablespoons dried oregano
1 tablespoons sea salt
1 bunch of cilantro, chopped finely
Black Beans Directions
Soak the beans for at least 8 hours before cooking. Add the beans to a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then adjust the heat to medium and cook for about 1½ hours.
Add the veggies and garlic to the beans and cook for another 45 minutes on medium-low heat.
Add the lime quarters to the beans along with the spices, salt and cilantro and simmer for at least 30 minutes, or until beans are tender.
