This traditional and basic dressing and dip accompanies many Vietnamese dishes and salads—including many of our featured recipes.
Makes approximately 1 1/2 cups.
Super easy
1 cups hot water
1 tablespoons minced sambal oelek (we suggest the Huy Fong Foods brand)
3 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons fish sauce
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoons minced garlic
Nuoc Cham (Fish-Sauce Dressing) Directions
Combine the water and sugar and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Add all of the other ingredients and stir well. Set aside.
