Two Not-so-plain-Jane Tartines
For the most basic and simple tartine, you can’t go wrong with an untoasted, sliced on a bias, fresh baguette.

- 2 tablespoons good butter
- 3 slices prosciutto, thinly cut
- Crip Plain-Jane
- 1 thin sliced toasted baguette

- 4 thin slices of pear
- 1 1/2 teaspoons honey
- 2 basil leaves
- Fresh ground pepper

Or for a refreshing and crisp tartine, start with thin-sliced baguette toasted long and low to dry out the bread.
Generously spread the pieces with Pure Luck Dairy’s June’s Joy, then add thinly sliced pears, a drizzle of local honey, a twist or two from the pepper mill and fresh basil leaves for garnish.
