Black Tea Poultice

Materials

  • 1 bag of black tea
  • 8 ounces water

Instructions

  • Brew a cup of black tea by pouring heated water over a black tea bag or loose-leaf tea for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Remove the tea bag or leaves, moisten a cotton ball in the tea and dab gently over skin—the tannins and astringent properties will help to tighten pores.
  • You can also put the tea into a spray bottle and gently spritz the tea over the face and neck. The tea bags can also be applied to the eye areas as a way to help combat puffy eyes.
  • And of course, drink the tea! It’s high in flavonoids and antioxidants, including polyphenols.
